Mesut KOYUNCU

Founding Partner, Head of Management Consulting Department

Was born in 1970 in Küre, a county of Kastamonu.

After having his primary school education in Küre, he received his secondary school education in Kastamonu Göl Teacher Training College which was used to be a branch of Village Institute Project.

He graduated from Ankara Finance Profession High School in 1987 before he studied in Gazi University where he obtained his bachelor’s degree in Management in 1992.

Successfully passing the entry exam, he joined the Board of Account Experts in July of 1992.

Holding the title of Associate Account Expert, Account Expert and Chief Account Expert in the years between 1992 and 2005, he executed a wide range of inspections, investigations, examination, and sectoral studies.

He took his master’s degree in business management at University of Illinois in the USA. In 2005, he resigned from his position in the Board of Account Experts on his own accord and started to work in private sector.

He acted as the financial coordinator of Eren Holding in the years between 2005 and 2008. During his tenure, he found the opportunity of getting closely acquainted with paper-packaging, energy, cement, textile, retailing and tourism sectors where Eren Holding operates.

In October of 2008, he was appointed as the general manager of Modern Ambalaj AŞ, a subsidiary of Eren Holding, producing corrugated cardboard.

Alongside being the general manager of Modern Ambalaj AŞ, he was assigned as

  • The Board member of Paper and Packaging Group Companies of Eren Holding
  • The vice president of Nova Hellas based in Greece since 2015,
  • The general manager of Bursa Ambalaj since 2018,
  • The CEO of Paper and Packaging of Eren Holding

In January of 2021, he resigned from all posts he held in Eren Holding.

He became the board member of OMÜD (Corrugated Cardboard Manufacturers Association) between 2009 and 2021. He acted as the chairman of OMÜD in the years between 2013 and 2016 for two terms.

His book named “Thin Capitalization, Disguised Profit Distribution and International Transfer Pricing” was published by Account Experts Association. His articles and studies were featured in several journals and newspapers. 

He has served as the member of

  • KASİAD (Association of Industrialist and Businessmen of Kastamonu).

He is married with two children.

Sedat ÇIRTLIK

Partner, Head of Tax Department

Born in Bolu in 1967, he completed his primary, secondary and high school education in Karamürsel, and graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, Department of Finance in 1990. He left his public service, which he started as Assistant Tax Inspector in 1991, with the title of Chief Tax Inspector of the Ministry of Treasury and Finance in 2022.

He took part in the Report Evaluation Commission and Advisory Committee of Hesap Uzmanları Kurulu and Vergi Denetim Kurulu. He gave trainings on Tax Procedure Law, Income Tax Law, Corporate Tax Law, Value Added Tax Law, Revision and Tax Techniques and Cost Accounting to assistants in various periods.

Many of his articles were published in “Vergi Dünyası Dergisi” published by “Hesap Uzmanları Derneği”, and he made important contributions to the same Association’s books called “Denetim İlke ve Esasları” and “Beyanname Düzenleme Kılavuzu”.

For a while, he prepared the “Tax Revision” section in “the Sworn in Certified Public Accountant” exams.

He is married and has a child.

Özgür ŞİMŞEK

Partner

Graduated from Ankara University, Faculty of Political Sciences, and Department of Finance in 1993. Then he completed his master’s degree in financial economics at Boston University, USA in 2006.

He started his career in 1993 as an assistant tax inspector in Tax Inspectors Board at the Ministry of Finance where he conducted tax examinations, investigations, and research on large-scale companies in various sectors, He was appointed as tax inspector in 1997 and chief tax inspector in 2004.

​After serving for 13 years in the Board, he was appointed as the head group of Revenue Administration in 2007 and had been in charge of the Avoidance of Double Taxation and Exchange of Information in the department of Double Taxation Treaties and International Relations for 2 years.

​He resigned from his public service in 2008 and joined Eren Holding A.Ş. where he served as a financial coordinator for 4 years and Deputy General Manager of Energy for 4 years. Besides, he served in the high ranked executive roles, he also held Board Member positions in several group companies for 8 years during his duty in the Holding. He performed active roles in finance, financial affairs, auditing, business development, investment and public relations, coal and energy trade operations of the group companies of Eren Holding, which operates in energy, cement, port, cardboard, packaging, textile, and retail sectors.

​In 2017, with the suggestion of Japanese partner Kansai, he started to work as CFO and executive manager in Polisan Kansai Boya A.Ş. Alongside with his executive role in the company, he facilitated the management of the relations between the shareholders of the company for 3 years. In addition to that, he supervised the business development activities of group companies.

​He has been working as a Consultant and Certified Public Accountant since November 2020.

Cenk SEZGİN

Audit Manager

Cenk SEZGİN was born in 1975 in Istanbul. He completed his high school education at Ataköy High School and his undergraduate education at Kütahya Dumlupınar University Faculty of Business Administration. He completed his financial consultancy internship at “Tufan Saat”, the Turkey Distributor of “Rado” and “Frederique Constant” watches. After returning from military service in 2003, he continued as Accounting officer in Eren Holding retail department. Between 2006 and 2012, he worked as an auditor in a sworn financial consultancy firm, providing consultancy on full certification, VAT refund, SCT refund and guarantee solution. Between 2012 and 2018, he worked as Accounting Manager and Financial Affairs Manager at Eren Kağıt, a subsidiary of Eren Holding. He has Certified Public Accountant and Public Oversight Agency Independent Auditor Certificate.

She was born in 1970 in Istanbul. She graduated from Ankara Maliye Meslek Lisesi in 1987 and Ankara Üniversitesi Hukuk Fakültesi  in 1991.

She served as (1987-1992) Civil Servant at the Ministry of Finance Prime Ministry Budget Department, (1992-1994) Ankara Judge Candidate, (1994-1998) Artvin Judgeship, (1998-2000) Gerger/Adıyaman Judgeship, (2000-2002) Intercession/Yozgat Judge, (2002-2016) the Investigation Judge of the 10th Criminal Division of the Supreme Court.

She has been working as a Freelance Lawyer since 2016. She is also a faculty member of the Turkish Justice Academy and a member of the Ethics Committee of the Turkish Football Federation.

She has publications named “Uyuşturucu ve Uyarıcı Madde Suçları” (Adalet Yayınevi-5.Baskı) ve “Ceza Avukatının El Kitabı” (Adalet Yayınevi-2.Baskı)

Her article titled “Return of Indictment in the Light of Supreme Court Decisions” (Makale-TAA Journal October 2016) has been published.

She made presentations in many in-service training seminars and training seminars of different provincial bar associations on “check promissory note Law”, “check promissory note Law”, “General Penal Provisions” and “Drugs and Stimulant Substance Offenses”.

Seyit YILMAZ             

ANKARA

He was born in Kırıkkale in 1970. He completed his high school education at “Ankara Maliye Okulu” and his undergraduate education at Anadolu Üniversitesi, Department of Finance. He retired in 2022 after working as a manager in the Revenue Office, and various tax offices in Ankara for 35 years. During his civil service life, he served as the enforcer of VAT, SCT and other tax and procedural laws. He is particularly specialized in tax structuring laws and tax litigation.

Şenol ÇAKIR

Şenol ÇAKIR was born in 1981 in Istanbul. At the age of 10, he moved to Adana with his family, where he completed his primary, secondary, and high school education. In 2004, he graduated from Mersin University with a degree in Computer Engineering. During his education, he began working in the Information Technology departments of various companies in Adana and Mersin.

After completing his military service in 2007, he returned to Istanbul and worked as IT Team Leader for an international company for 2 years. In 2009, he joined Eren Holding as a System Support Engineer. In 2011, he was appointed as the IT Supervisor of Modern Ambalaj, one of the group companies of Eren Holding.

During his tenure at Modern Ambalaj, he held various leadership positions, including Deputy IT Manager, IT Manager, and IT Director, successfully leading numerous projects. While working at Modern Ambalaj, he continued his academic journey and earned a Master’s degree in Information Technology from Yıldız Technical University in 2017.

One of the most notable projects under his leadership was the SAP S/4HANA implementation, which went live in January 2023. This project was recognized as the “Digital Transformation Project of the Year” by SAP Turkey, one of the country’s most prestigious awards in the field.

Throughout his 15-year career at Modern Ambalaj, he played a crucial role in establishing departments such as Software Development, SAP Applications, System and Technical Support, Digital Transformation, and Cybersecurity, positioning the company for the digital era.

In May 2024, he left his position at Modern Ambalaj and established Packware Bilişim ve Danışmanlık Company which specializing in IT and Digital Transformation Consultancy. As a certified ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, he continues to provide consultancy services to corporate clients, leveraging his extensive experience in the manufacturing sector.
